First of all, can I just say that if you know where I got the title for this post from, we should definitely be friends. So, I thought I’d do a little spring trends post because it is spring (supposedly). One thing that is a problem for a lot of fashion lovers, myself included is the cost of having up to date wardrobes. It can get quite crazy if you let it. Therefore, these days I have gone back to Primark because I think they’re getting much better at being trendy and there quite a few gems in there at the moment. Of course, a lot of things don’t fit and it is like searching for a needle in a hystack . This is why you come to blog isn’t it? we do all the hard work for ya and make your shopping experience infinitely better.
Having said that, since its spring , of course pastels and florals are in. It’s one of those things that will never go away because these trends are as attached to spring as an ex after he’s seen you glo up. I wanted to get some pieces for myself without breaking the bank so you already know where I went shopping. I went into Primark on the hunt for something nice and floral and I ended up coming out with both pastel and floral pieces so that’s what I would call a successful shopping trip.
The floral piece was this ivory coloured lovely button down (which is also a massive trend) maxi dress with huge pink flowers all across it, which is right up my street. As I’ve mentioned previously in this post here, I love dresses. Once I saw it , I was in love and I immediately grabbed one in my usual size and headed to the fitting room. Alas, it did not fit across my chest , so I had to go a size up. I definitely don’t have the biggest boobs in the world so I would say that if you’re bigger chested, you might not love this dress.
The second Item I picked up was a lilac vest top because purple is once of my favourite colours and lilac is also very on trend this season. It’s just a very simple top to wear with white shorts or some jeans. It’s only £3 as well so it was a great bargain. I got that one in my normal size and it fit perfectly. The thing is , when it comes to trend pieces, I don’t like to spend too much money because you might not want to wear it again next season. I would only recommend splurging on trends when it merges perfectly with your personal style because you will definitely get your wear out of it then.
I have really enjoyed wearing the dress so much and I am looking forward to taking it on holiday to serve as a beach coverup as well. It is very versatile, can be dressed up or down and it was only £13 so another trendy bargain. I would’ve paid more for it because it fits in with my style so well and I love it.
Well, there you have it. I wanted to share a couple of trendy pieces I have recently purchased with you all and I hope it inspires you to go shopping *wink*
Until next time, Ciao xx
